President Biden is, mentally healthy. However, if somebody believes that he is in such serious cognitive decline that he can't be trusted to run his campaign, I don't see how they could be okay with him staying in office. The responsibilities are serious and a person in serious cognitive decline clearly can not be trusted with the office of president.
If President Biden can't be trusted to run his own campaign, then he has to resign from office immediately. That's obvious and undeniable. If you can't trust him to run his own campaign, how could you possibly trust him with the nuclear codes in his demented condition? You couldn't. So, he would have to resign effective immediately because the country and the world can't be put at risk because of a seriously impaired 81 year old in cognitive decline being at the helm. If you say that you believe that President Biden is in serious cognitive decline because you know what you saw and nobody is going to gaslight you, then I expect you to be pushing diaries on Daily Kos demanding President Biden immediately resign, pushing for President Biden to resign on social media and protesting in the street with homemade signs because it's an emergency if a guy who is in such serious cognitive decline that he can't be trusted to run his own damn campaign is sitting behind the resolute desk. If you're not doing all of this, then I have no choice but to take it that you're not quite as convinced that President Biden is in significant cognitive decline as you are pretending to be here and you are breathtakingly cynical.
But if President Biden resigns now, then Vice President Harris becomes President Harris and she nominates a vice president who must be confirmed by both chambers!
Who replaces the vice president?
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
Shouldn't President Harris have her VP PICK BE HER RUNNING MATE? What would voters think if she nominated somebody that she didn't think was good enough to be her running mate? What if the Republican Party controlled House of Representatives refused to allow a VP pick to be confirmed? Would we simply not have a vice president for six months? The only people that they would consider would be people like Joe Manchin or Liz Cheney or Adam Kinzinger ....
