Yes, quite understandably Biden’s piss-poor debate and generalized anxiety has sent people freaking out. But inexplicably even people who should know a lot better are ignoring one vital, immutable fact.
Should anything happen to President Biden any time between now and January 20, 2025, longer if enough people in key states come to their senses, Vice-President Kamala Harris automatically starts serving as president.
And for nearly four years, she, and President Biden, have been preparing should this actually happen. The Biden-Harris TICKET – and the pair should be presented as a pair – provide a vivid contrast to The Alternative and – a Nobody.
It seems to me that Don the Con’s minimum requirement, before any actual qualifications would be: a yes-man willing to accept political violence, never likely to upstage him, and willing to risk being thrown under a bus, or tossed out a window, like Benedict Trump’s hero and owner is prone to do. And all of the creatures desperately eager to be Trump’s #2 person are just orcs with egos getting jerked around by the ex-host of a rigged TV game show.
Unlike Degenerate Don’s vice-president, whose life he had no qualms about disposing of, Kamala Harris has been entrusted with responsibilities, domestic and international, far more serious than going to football games in order to walk out of them and reminding Christianist Nationalists that his owner hates the same people they do. She has had to interact directly and extensively with a number of the Putinistas in the American duma and has litigation and/or confirmation experience dealing with the oath-breaking prostitutes on the Extreme Court. She was, obviously, one of the final contenders for the 2020 Democratic nomination and continues to come with her own base of voter support.
Does it make sense to exchange known winning horses in mid-stream in the hopes that an unknown new horse would be a lot better? Rather than fight over deciding who loses to Donald Trump, the convention’s time would be better spent in picking a potential vice-vice-president.
