Signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, restoring basic protections against pay discrimination for women and other workers
On January 29, 2009, President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act into law, restoring the ability of victims of wage discrimination to hold their employers accountable for injustice and challenge the practice in court.
