So, a Goldman Sachs loser of the universe, Lloyd Blankfein, yet another fat cat plutocrat gazillionaire, who can't seem to hoard enough money to satisfy his pathological addiction to greed, suggests that middle class Americans should lower our expectations on so-called federal entitlement programs, which are not entitlements at all, except according to the GOP, Faux Fake News, Washington D.C. pundits, Wall St. and the plutocrats. So called "entitlements" would be what else other than Medicare and Social Security, programs for which middle class Americans have ahem been paying into for all of their working lives. In other words, idiot pundits and Republicans, Medicare and Social Security are insurance programs.
I have news for you dude Blankfein and your bank robbing colleagues and water carriers and losing whiners on Wall St. and in Washington, D.C. There is no way in hell that we the wee ones will take any cuts to our insurance programs at all.
None.
Zip.
Nada.
In other words, not one cent.
It is your turn, Messrs. Blankfein and your bank robbing baron buddies to take a cut or two. Surely you and the greed infested addicts like yourself can pony up at least $100 million a pop to reimburse the U.S. Treasury for your gambling problem. Sheldon Adelson found out that he had a few million to spare when he tried to buy the 2012 election for himself by propping up Mitt Romney.
The middle class bailed your corrupted and reckless derrieres out in 2008, Mr. Blankfein. Here is a little refresher, in case your memory has failed you.
Now it is your turn to take a cut or two, dude Blankfein. After all, for some reason you, Sir, did not end up in prison like your colleague Bernie Madoff. I suppose Bernie's great misfortune was having the nerve and audacity to rip off millionaires instead of U.S. taxpayers.
The middle class won the 2012 election. You, dude, and your $300 million of candidate purchasing power, enabled by Citizen's United, your smear campaigns, hateful attack ads, your sock puppets like Karl Rove and the Republican Party and its voter suppresionists, as well as the clueless pundits in Washington D.C. and in Manhattan lost. As in lost meaning President won by an electoral landslide.
The people have spoken and we will continue to speak.
Cross posted on Texas Kaos
Government of the servile, by the deluded, for the greedy. Somewhere, Abe Lincoln weeps.
That and a more hardened and intolerant brand of conservatism called rich guys conservatism.
Speaking of which. Meet the latest Tea Party darling of Texas, U.S. Senate candidate elect Ted Cruz (R-batshit out of touch w/the U.S. electorate.)
Oh wait. Ted Cruz's wife works for guess who?
Earth to the Republican Party and Ted Cruz. So, what is it about Lloyd Blankfein, Sheldon Adelson, the Koch boys, Bob Perry, Harold Simmons and other millionaire sugar daddies that you can't quit them? Apparently their vast wealth could not buy the 2012 election.
The people have spoken, after all. And they spoke against the tea party GOP and it's sugar daddies.
So, why do the sugar daddies interest you Republicans more than your constituents? Do you have a problem?
Welcome to crony capitalist Texas, a place where taxes are low, government is small and where regulation is all but non existent.
That said, there is hope for the future of Texas. For Houston voters (in the city of Houston proper) voted for President Obama by 61%.
So, what is the attraction to the fat cat sugar daddies, Republican lawmakers?
Rick Perry. I am talking to you.
If this is your thing, Rick, liberals like me are OK with it. But we are not OK with your gay bashing, lying, double life fakery, arrogance and appalling hypocrisy.
The people will continue to speak. Even in Texas.
