Now, we all know a second-grader can produce a better argument than Trump, but is this really the best that he can do?
Hillary Clinton absolutely destroys him yesterday (and if you have not seen the speech, please click on the link . . . it is popcorn worthy entertainment). And this is his response:
". . . the country is going to die."
Really? How does a country "die"? We have no existential threats. President Obama reminded us of that recently. We have the strongest military and alliance network in the history of the world. We have no threats, except for internal ones, like massive poverty, economic inequality, people having no faith in any of the great institutions of American society, and systemic racism and sexism throughout our country. And how will the candidates do with them:
The candidate who will exacerbate this is . . . Donald Trump!
The candidate who will ameliorate this is . . . Hillary Clinton!
And his next argument is just as ridiculous:
“She’s not respected by other countries.”
As if he is, but I hope I won't shock you when I tell you that he is lying. She is loved by people around the world and their leaders.
Conclusion
I really think we are at a point with Trump that any reporter interviewing and/or any person recording him for television or otherwise needs to say after every statement that he makes, "your lying. I don't have the evidence here right now but we all know you're lying." It will be better for the country and will save a lot of people time by not having to go back the next day to show that it was a lie when the research proves what we all knew at the time Trump made the statement: That he is a pathological liar.
