Proving himself to be one of the grandest conspiracy theorists of all time, Donald Trump on Tuesday accused Attorney General Loretta Lynch of accepting a bribe from Hillary Clinton to look the other way on her email controversy. Still, he later declined to weigh in on whether that exempted her from serving as the country's top law enforcement official. Who is he to judge, right? Katherine Krueger reports:
“[Clinton] said today that we may consider the Attorney General to go forward. That's like a bribe isn't it? Isn't that sort of a bribe? I think it's a bribe,” Trump told the crowd, according to the Washington Post. Moments later, he declared, “It’s a bribe!”
Clinton has not publicly said if she would offer Lynch a job in her administration.
After the event, Trump phoned in to Fox News’ “O’Reilly Factor.” Asked by the host if he would fire Lynch and Comey should he be elected President, Trump was evasive.
“I don't want to comment on that. I really don't want to comment on that. It’s inappropriate at this moment,” Trump told Bill O’Reilly.
Way to draw those boundaries, Donald—Sure, I’ll say it: They're all crooked! But it’s just not right to discuss my hiring criteria.
