Trump, financial toddler that he is, has raised Tariffs on our Allies (under the guise of National Security no-less).
And our Allies are threatening to retaliate, in kind. So much for boosting the Economy, and ‘growing that GDP Pie’ for all parties involved ...

On Thursday, Trump announced that the US would impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from three key US allies: Canada, Mexico, and the European Union. The move follows earlier metals tariffs on countries around the world.

Joseph Francois and Laura M. Baughman, economists at consulting group The Trade Partnership, found in a recent study that the number of jobs lost in industries that rely on steel and aluminum to produce goods would far outweigh the jobs protected in the metals industry.
"The tariffs and retaliation would increase U.S. steel employment and non-ferrous metals (primarily aluminum) employment by 26,346 jobs, but cost a net of 495,136 jobs throughout the rest of the economy, for a total net loss of nearly 470,000 jobs," the study said.
Trudeau: It's 'insulting' that the US considers Canada a national security threat
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Sunday that the reasoning behind implementing new U.S. tariffs on Canada was "insulting and unacceptable."
“One of the things that I have to admit I'm having a lot of trouble getting around is the idea that this entire thing is coming about because the president and the administration have decided that Canada and Canadian steel and aluminum is a national security threat to the United States,” Trudeau told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“The idea that we are somehow a national security threat to the United States is quite frankly insulting and unacceptable," he added.

Dems should stop to remind blue collar workers — this is not the kind of change they voted for.
Dems should remind them that the meager Tax Cut they got from the GOP, has long since evaporated in the Dollar-jump in gasoline prices — due to the last bone-headed move of Team Trump (re-empowering Iran) by freeing them from the constraints of the International Treaty they were under.
Dems should remind Trump voters, he does not have their best interests in mind.
Trump has been flooding the swamping, instead of draining it — despite the robotic rhetoric of his rallies. In short, Trump has been ‘playing them’ for fools. In Trump’s mind, blue collar workers are his latest “rubes”.
