Russia has two more officially accused war criminals today.
The recently demoted defense minister, Sergei Shoigu, and Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov, have been charged with war crimes by the International Criminal Court at The Hague. Arrest warrants have been issued.
And, of course, Russia continues to daily engage in war crimes.
Ukraine hit a large Russian ammo depot near Voronezh, which is about 330 km northeast of Kharkiv.
It missed, but shrapnel must have detonated something.
The Russians in that golf cart need to go to Vegas because they are the luckiest dudes on the planet.
A Ukrainian soldier who killed two Russians at close range in a trench is interviewed. He took some grenade shrapnel in the butt before killing them.
Drones attack a Russian drone control center in Vovchansk. One drone punches a hole in the roof and another drops a munition through it, sending a fountain of debris high into the air.
There is video from this weekend’s attack on Crimean targets by Ukraine.
It shows cluster munitions impacting just off shore at the beach. This site is close to Russia’s Belbek Airbase, which has been attacked before.
Gee, maybe they should have thought of this earlier.
A Russian propagandist wears an anti-drone pack, perhaps to demonstrate it to his audience. There is no indication where he is, but if he gets within sniper range, he might as well have a sign on him that says “shoot me first.”
A Russian soldier welds lengths of chain to the front of a tank to be used in clearing mines. He thanks his followers back home for donating the money to buy the chain.
Who would have thought that a plane like the Yak-52 would turn out to be an effective weapon against surveillance drones?
How to defend yourself against an incoming drone using your assault rifle. The drone blew their Chinese golf cart to smithereens, but the Russians inside apparently had enough time to run.
A Russian grad launcher goes bavovna near Avdiivka.
Cue the conspiracy enthusiasts.
Sometimes the bullshit gets to be too much to swallow.
Good news, but they need to reduce that cost — almost 6,500 euros per shell.
Somebody has seen too many movies.
Rest in peace
Dad made it to graduation.
This woman lives in Kharkiv and rescues animals. Russian shells landed uncomfortably close to her and she says one of her birds died from the shock.
The death of a bird may seem like a small thing in a war that has killed so many, but it’s an example of the kind of daily stress that many Ukrainians live with.
It is amazing that they are still able to evacuate animals from Vovchansk, which Russia is in the process of razing.
