Hopefully at this point I'm still wandering the wilderness and haven't been eaten by a bigger predator. Yes, this is going to be another absentee diaree posted to the queue- um, e. Next week though, next week— hoo-ee! look out!
So, other than my absence, this is just another fuzzy Friday open thread. Just a quiet corner of the Great Orange Cesspool for idly drifting, floating and rock-crusher ads.
This week I'll scrape the bottom of the barrel. Hard to find some reasonable photos that I haven’t already shared with you folks.
A friend celebrated her fiftieth birthday and we spent a wonderful afternoon and evening helping her celebrate.
Just a couple atmospheric shots as the evening drew to a close and we said our goodbyes.
Then there was the day I got my international driver's license.
For old time's sake I walked across the rail bridge.
The subway station known as “Anděl” or Angel used to be called “Moskva” — yeah, Moscow. Heard a rumor that they'll be taking down the massive, bronze, art installations. I snapped a quick pic on my way past one of them. The subway platforms themselves have some fantastically ugly works of bas-relief sculpture— almost as if the artists were venting some hostility toward an occupying army.
I had this shot of a sunset with apple blossoms that I wasn't completely happy with, but hey, close enough for absentee photo blogging.
And finally, a parting shot from the zoo.
Thanks for stopping by. Hoping everyone is having a fantastic summer! Now get in those comments and misbehave!
This is an open thread.
