Marches on Washington have scarcely garnered any media coverage. More and more people cannot afford the time away from work or the expense of traveling to DC for a protest. At the same time, local protests in cities around the US also don’t garner the kind of media coverage needed. And they have negligible impact, if any, on the corporate kingmakers who seem to run our country these days.
Perhaps it’s time to call for a nationwide strike, against the current administration’s choices, with a minimum of 3 months advance notice. Just for one day, using our collective purchasing power, refuse to spend any money, refuse to go to work, refuse to watch TV, refuse to spend money. Vote with your pocketbook.
