How is this possible? Dekalb County is leading Early Voting in Georgia with 63,788 votes as of 10/17/08! Fulton County is in second place with 45,681 votes banked so far. Although this is a record number for Fulton, we are trailing Dekalb by 18,107 votes!
Fulton County has roughly 240,000 more residents than Dekalb, but alas, Democrats make up a greater percentage of their population. But with THREE Early Voting locations in Fulton County (verses ONE in Dekalb), let's get out there this week and close the gap!
In all seriousness, huge congratulations to Dekalb County for doing an awesome job turning out and managing the Early Vote! This election promises to be a great one for Georgia Democrats.
