For the past months all we've heard from the Democrats like Harry Reid are "we don't have the votes!! We need GOP senators to help us!!"
Now they don't, and they're all ready getting ready for damage control for their inevitable continued spinelessness and incompetence.
This is just pathetic and should be a wake up call to our milquetoast ineffective majority "leader", and I use that term loosely.
Dick Cheney has come out in support of gay marriage, a policy that only around 40-45% of Americans support. Obama refuses to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell, a policy that 75% of Americans favor repealing.
Steve Israel, a challenger to Gillibrand, was intimidated out of the primary by Emanuel and Obama. I personally have no problem with that as I'm starting to like Gillibrand, but it seems he's making a habit of trying to stop primaries and let "his candidate" be nominated, a perversion of democracy. Now they're trying to intimidate Joe Sestak into not challenging Arlen Specter in a primary.
The section of Obama's website where he promised to repeal DOMA has been scrubbed, and it is no longer there. See for yourself.
This diary is just going to be about the advantages Democrats and Republicans get from Specter's party switch.
Yes, in case the title confused you, the Freepi are HAPPY Arlen Specter has switched parties today and given the Democrats their filibuster proof majority. It is all part of their plan, you see, just like Michael Steele. The "RINO purge".

I'm sorry, but Rasmussen's polls are getting absolutely hilarious. I don't ever think I can take him seriously again, even though he will do his polls right during election time.
Suck on this, GOP!
So Al Franken has just won the election (again), but is still not seated. What does Harry Reid have to say?
Okay, not really. But that's what all the birthers are saying!
As you all know, the Vermont legislators overrode Gov Jim Douglas's veto a few days ago to become the first state to legalize same sex marriage through the legislative process. What do the Freepers have to say about this TRAVESTY? Read on!
