The AFP reports that Bush plans to give a major speech on Wednesday to perform damage control after last week's debate.

One thing that occurred to me is that Bush will be very, very likely to bring up his oft-used distortion of the "global test" line from the debates.
How can KE04 be ready to respond to this? Can JK be ready with a some kind of widely-viewed address that follows the statements by Bush? I'm not talking about a small-time response like mentioning the bush remarks in a campaign speech in Scranton, PA... I'm talking about seizing the viewership (and, more importantly, the media attention) immediately and directly after the fact.
The prez has an advnatage in that he can muster as much viewership as he likes. How can Kerry respond quickly enough and loudly enough to this to keep the momentum going through to Friday?

Delays in response are the enemies of clarity, and clarity is JK's friend. The longer a bush distortion of a Kerry quote spends in the media echo chamber, the more it will come to replace the original quote in people's minds. As an example, look at the whole "I foted for the $87B before I voted against it" fiasco.
If you want to embarrass someone who is distorting a quote, the best way is to follow their statements quickly with footage of the original quote. Can KE04 do a Daily Show-style cut to footage taken directly from the debates, that shows JK's whole statement? If they can get something like this out the door quickly enough, the press may choose to focus on the distortion rather than just disseminating the bush remarks unchallenged.
