It looks like Kerry votes are either being double-counted for Cobb or COMPLETELY counted for Cobb (Lucas). So if we fiddle with the numbers based on those assumptions you get:
Bush, George W. Republican 969,961 51.72%
Kerry, John F. Democratic 895,771 47.77%
It's not a huge difference but Lucas county is a VERY heavily Democratic area (Toledo, OH) so this could matter if the tallies there continue to be inaccurate.
