This is beautiful.
About 85 students have taken over their library to protest President Bush's policies. They have demanded that their Republican leaders assure them that they are not going to destroy their future. The interesting thing is that the school officials are letting them stay. Note also that they are not protesting the elction, they are protesting policies that will impact them on a grand scale.
These are kids most of which cannot even vote yet. Perhaps their spirit has awakened and no one will ever be able to accuse them of failing to show up on election day.
Perhaps these kids will help usher in a new era so that my daughters (ages 2 and 3) will still be able to have reproductive freedom and the same pay that their cousin (boy, age 1) will get.
We have shown these kids what to do, people. US. They have begun as soon as they can to fight for the next election. We can, too.
Buck up. There is hope.
