IT IS TIME FOR KERRY TO DETACH HIMSELF FROM AL FROM'S TIT
The biggest threat from the DLC at present is that its hold on Kerry may cause a second term to be delivered to George Bush, without the necessity of theft.
Could it have been any clearer from the RNC convention in New York. Every last blow the GOP delivered to Kerry was the result of a DLC fuck up.
Let's start with New York it's self:
One of the largest anti-Bush rallies in the nation and I am sure by the advice of Al From aka "Shitty Motherfucker" ...Kerry stayed silent. Everyone here was peeved that the media totally overlooked the protest...but so did Kerry.
Kerry actually pretended that nothing was happening and goes windsurfing...the sand around his collar is showing.
*Guilliani:
He can say what he wants and have the GOP own the "War on Terra" because also on the advice of the DLC many a Democrat kneecapped themselves by voting for Bush's war thinking that it would be politically advantageous. Now we are trapped in the
GOP frame which has been hermetically sealed to take into acount...accountablity and reason.
The DLC are too busy calling Kerry and Edwards "Blair Democrats"...did someone tell then that Blair is finally saving his own country and hiss own ass and dumping Bush.
We consider ourselves, along with other Democrats who have supported the use of military force, as "
Blair Democrats" who have not let our profound disagreements with the Bush Administration's unilateralist habits obscure our broader responsibilities for facing what Blair has called "the dominant security threat of our time -- which is the combination of weapons of mass destruction in the hands of unstable, repressive states and terrorist groups."
McCain:
Wasn't it on the advice of the DLC particulary LIEberman that Kerry belittled himself and begged the guy to be his VP...shameful
I am sure that the NDOL.org has articles about McCain but funnily enough you can't search his name on their site.
Ah-nold:
On the wisdom of the DLC the DNC decided to back a loser...
The DLC thought that in their combined wisdom that they knew better than the people and decided who they thought woud make a better candidate.
The people did not like the choosen candidate and the polls clearly indicated that this candidate was not their favorite...but the DLC in their infinite wisdom poo poo'd the people and said that they were too naive.
Well, guess who spoke at the RNC calling the DNC girlie-men ...no truer words have ever been spoken.
Oh Yeah being the DLC of course they did not take responsibility for there gross mistake but just blamed...geuss who???... the people of course
What was Davis' mistake? Early in his first term, he governed as a moderate but, later on, pretty much capitulated to the left-wing-dominated legislature on critical issues such as the budget, advocacy for gay rights, and illegal aliens' drivers' licenses. Becoming a willing prisoner of the legislative party was Davis' cardinal error, one that Democrats should watch out for nationally, particularly in light of the success, so far, of the Howard Dean campaign. When faced with a recall, Davis' advisers abandoned the center and instead took a "mobilize-the-base" strategy. In Dean's borrowed phrase, they became "the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party." In California that meant energizing the poverty warlords, the ethnic pols, the labor union apparatchiks, the trial lawyers, and the activists -- environmentalist, feminist, and gay.
Zell:
Well, the fact that the DLC had Zell give the keynote for Clinton...about says where their values are...in the gutter.
Sadly, Miller's perverse and premature endorsement of Bush, and
his adoption by the right-wing media machine, will all but guarantee that few if any Democrats will pay attention to the nuggets of sound advice he offers his party. Most of the book simply warns Democrats that they cannot remain competitive in the South if they abandon traditional party commitments to mainstream cultural views and to the economic aspirations of the middle class. He repeatedly praises the Democratic Leadership Council for offering the right advice to Democrats, even as he endorses Bush administration positions on economic, fiscal, and foreign policies that the DLC consistently opposes. At a time when centrist Democrats are fighting insidious claims that its positions are no more than Bush Lite, Miller offers Bush Heavy as an alternative.
Bush/Cheney:
Well let's geuss who was behind the fiasco of obstructing the CBC...hmmmm
Well all of this is to say that HELL YEAH we need a shake up or a shake off. From, Bayh and Lieberman can take a hike.
No I don't like Kerry but I damn well wnat him to win and he doesn't have a chance if he keeps listening to these self-righteous fools.
I will tell you now what the DLC will say if Kerry loses... the same thing they said about, Gore and Davis...IT WAS THEIR FAULT NOT OURS.
These guys should be put in the same basket as the Log Cabin Republicans -- they are so desparate to be Republicans and the Rethuglicans keep kicking them in the teeth...
Can you believe McCain??? After all the sweet nothings Lieberman has whispered in the media's ear about him he turn around and kicks him in the balls. Frankly, I would too...at least McCain know what it means to be loyal to one's party something that Holy Joe knows nothing about.
And BTW where are those shitty shitty motherfuckers...they got us in this mess.
We are always harping on about how Bush is "Strong and Wrong" and too arrogant to change his strategy even when it is obvious that it is not working...huh? How many times do we need to be run into the wilderness by From and Co???
