This weekend, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, on a fence-mending European tour, said Friday that an attack against Iran was "simply not on the agenda at this point."
Now, my question is this: "Why should anyone in his or her right mind believe her?"
After all, isn't she a proven liar?
Moreover, isn't this statement coming from a person who is affiliated with an Administration that was saying throughout the fall of 2002 that Bush's decision to attack Iraq had not yet been made, when in reality, the decision had been made months, if not years, before?
And didn't Bush just mention Iran by name in his SOTU address?
You know, I just got through watching "Triumph of the Will," the famous Nazi propaganda film of 1934.
What struck me as absolutely amazing was the way that Hilter had the audacity to say to his followers that they must be "peace-loving" people . . . while the whole time, virtually every other aspect of the film showed that he was gearing up the population of his country, in so many subtle and not so subtle ways, for war.
My point is, that Hitler was sending out mixed messages that were intended to deceive.
Moreover, wasn't it Hilter who somehow managed to convince the countries that were soon to become the Allied powers that if they agreed to give him the Sudetanland, that this would be the end of any aggressive designs he had on any other country?
So, again, why should anyone believe ANYTHING that this bitch Condi says, or anything that this Administration says, regarding not having designs to move against Iran?
