Forget Karl Rove for a minute and listen up!
Karl Rove triggered this 'Dems are Traitors' Bushit because he wanted to distract everybody from the Senate Armed Forces Committee testimony yesterday.
And it seems to have worked.
Last night, I watched a C-SPAN replay of the SAFC hearing to see where Senator Ted Kennedy rhetorically bopped Rumsfailed in the nose. I made a quick diary on this yesterday, but there was stuff more important than Ted Kennedy's shot at Rummy in the testimony.
This tells us why Rove launched this latest soccer ball.
I have never asked for a 'Recommend' before in all the years I have been blogging here, but I ask for one now.

This testimony really jumped out at me.
American forces are losing 'about a battalion per month' to death and casualties according to testimony yesterday. Please NOTE: This was an attrition rate, NOT a deathtoll.
KOS, you served in the Army, didn't you? How many people in a US Army battalion?
I looked in the dictionary and it said between 300 and 1000 members in a US Army battalion.
The number of dead at this casualty website is about right and the casualties mentioned in the SAFC yesterday was 18,000.
Add that to the declining recruitment rates and the transfers of personnel from the Navy and Air Force to the Marines and Army.
The testimony is 3 hours and 40 minutes and was just put up on C-SPAN.org. Do a video search for 'Rumsfeld' sort by date and pick the (currently) top one. I watched it last night on C-SPAN1. I have not watched the webvideo clip so I can not give you markers in the clip.
There is, of course, the deeply satisfying comment by Senator Kennedy that Rumsfailed should resign, however my joy was tempered by the silence of other DINO cowards.
Ted also used the word 'Quagmire' which really pissed off Rumsfailed and the Generals. They jumped all over that I can tell you! It instantly reminded me of 'Kindergarden Cop' where Schwartzengroper said "It's NOT a TUMAH!"
However, all the hoopla about the 'Q-word' made me think of a little wordplay 'Quacky[the Lame Duck]'s Quagmire' instead of Bushiter's Folly. Ah, I think I will stick with Bushiter's Folly.
Hillary Clinton (pretty plainly still backs the war) wasted time on... Karl Rove. And, in my opinion, she weakened Ted Kennedy's attack by commenting on disturbing of the cooperative atmosphere in the hearings as a lead-in to her comments on Rove.
I am not wondering anymore why Bill has been on the road with the Bushiter clan. They want to put Hillary in the White House. Huh? By supporting an unpopular war? Go figure!
Near the end are some very interesting comments by Lindsay Graham (of Clinton Impeachment fame) who is admitting that the American public has grown tired of the Iraq Occupation. He commented that he did not feel the decline in war's popularity was a 'blip' although some said it was.
He said the US Army will not lose a battle, but may lose the war because the American people are losing faith in the war. Sounded like Vietnam to me.
We've already lost the war, they are just trying to hang on to the 14 permanent bases now.
Would you send your kids over to Iraq to die or get maimed so that we could get 14 permanent bases for the Penatagon and Bushco's corpocrocs?
We have got to stop letting them distract us from their monumental greed and stupidity.
Please please think about stopping the chase after Karl Rove's latest soccer ball and swing your attention back around to our Army being chopped up in Iraq.
[Updated: Don't just talk about being insulted, talk about the distraction from incompetence, failure and casualties.]
We should go back on the attack and quit asking for what we know will be a phony apology.
