Excuse the light topic. There are no politics or disasters here, just the opportunity to guide a traveling Kossack.
I'm leaving my lovely, warm little island to attend a conference in Philadelphia the first week of November. I know there are a ton of historical places to see and I'm okay with doing the touristy stuff but I'd also like to see some real local color. I'm from a tourist mecca so I know you locals could direct me to some easily overlooked treasures.
Frankly, I'm overwhelmed. I only have a couple of totally free days so, what should I do? Mahalo to all of you for any advice.
P.S. If you're in the city and see a group of smiling, half frozen people wearing every bit of warm clothing they own--say aloha and try not to laugh!
