Looks like the CBS field trip paid off:
Mr. Heyward Goes to Washington
By Staff -- Broadcasting & Cable, 1/2/2005 11:07:00 PM
Let the fence-mending begin. According to a Broadcasting & Cable source in Washington, D.C., CBS News president Andrew Heyward, along with Washington bureau chief Janet Leissner, recently met with White House communications director Dan Bartlett, in part to repair chilly relations with the Bush administration.
And, coincidentally, eight days later, Dan and Karl get their Christmas present:
"Four CBS News employees, including three executives, have been ousted for their role in preparing and reporting a disputed story about President Bush's National Guard service," CBS News reports.
Look for a CBS exclusive interview of the President around the time of the "election" in Iraq. Bets?
