According to
Broadcasting & Cable, columnist Robert Novak, 73, "slipped in his Miami hotel room shower and broke his hip."
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, really. Karma, meet Bob Novak; Novak, try not to hit your head on the way to the bathroom tiles.
A source told the trade publication that "Novak will require a partial hip replacement, but had no estimate of how long that will keep him off the campaign trail, or at least trailing far behind it."
Let's hope that this curbs the GOP groupie's TV time.
Since I'm seem to be on a Novak kick, you might do well for yourself to read this
Salon article (free daypass once you read an ad), which re-hashes his flacking for "Unfit for Command" and finds an additional tie to the publishing house which printed this Swift Boat Liars puffery.
All in all, not a good day for Novak. Although Broadcasting & Cable said he was well enough to edit his next column in his hospital room, I'm hoping the once-good columnist has a revelation of some sort.
