A few months ago I read about NH state rep Corey Corbin, a Republican who switched parties in 2003 (the Victory Fund site says 2002 but I'm 90% sure it was 2003) due to increasing anger at the corruption in his state party and the lack of response to the nasty, obscene remarks made by Rick Santorum.
Apparently he is now running for the state senate, against incumbent Jack Barnes.

What are his chances? Is Barnes a pretty safe bet for reelection? Why didn't he run for his old seat -- because he wouldn't be able to win as a Democrat? How many Democrats are in the state senate?
