The most telling quote from a
new Nation article written by Ari Berman, on Al Gore's new TV channel "Current":
Gore, wearing a gray suit, open black-collared shirt and black cowboy boots, amiably opened the press conference and reiterated what his network was not. "We have no intention of being a Democratic channel, a liberal channel or a TV version of Air America. That's not what we're all about. We are about empowering this generation of young people in the 18-to-34 population to engage in a dialogue of democracy and to tell their stories of what's going on in their lives, in the dominant medium of our time."
I know I've seen on a lot of blogs people asking about when Gore's new liberal TV station was going to happen.
This answers their question. From Al Gore's own mouth .

Not surprising, but a little disappointing. The question is: will we ever get an Air America TV? And if so, who would be on it?
How long can Air America Radio last anyway?
Re: Air America Radio, as of yesterday's Randi Rhodes Show, a caller complained that they were upset with the management for switching to XM and leaving them with Sirius and no Air America. Randi Rhodes stated she was also angry with management. She even called the new President of AAR, who runs several record labels "slimy".
