Any doubt left in the minds of anyone capable of rational thought has now been dispelled thanks to the criminally negligent response to hurricane Katrina. It is painfully obvious that our great country is being led by an incompetent crew of self-serving, class conscious aristocrats that couldn't be less concerned for the well-being of anyone except their equally fortunate contemporaries. The consequence for the rest of us is that we are essentially without the government protections we pay annually for through our taxes.
However, an additional revelation from Katrina is the failure of the Homeland Security Agency. If anything, we are now less prepared for disasters than prior to 9/11, yet the government has spent billions of dollars structuring an all encompassing agency that has fallen flat on its face. This is on top of the billions spent on the illegal war in Iraq, soaring gas prices that will result in higher prices for most consumer products, and now the loss of the port of New Orleans, reducing the amount of, and adding cost to goods and supplies. Now, with winter approaching we can look forward to devastating expenses for necessities. Thanks, Georgie.
