A New York Fox affiliate banned
this campaign ad from being broadcast. It's by
Brian Ellner who is running for New York Borough President. As an ad it's clear, concise, complete. It even has a
thrilling ending.
(Please read on below the fold and PLEASE RECOMMEND in order to help Brain in his campaign.)
I have to say that
I was most thrilled with Brian himself. His attitude is clear, bright, promising, confident and infectious. He seems "Hackett-like". I checked out his platform. It seemed well-balanced. Scaled to the issues that a Borough president would be concerned with. Progressive. But his spirit is the most thrilling.
I was so taken that I quickly composed a little email saying just how impressed I was by his campaign ad. I told him that he had my vote, even though I don't live in his borough... Heck I don't even live in New York!. I spell checked the message and sent it off to his campaign manager. Within 5 minutes his campaign manager wrote me back thanking me for my kind words and encouragement. He went on to ask me if I'd be able to "wrangle some Manhattan friends into voting on Tuesday!".
Now, I don't have any Manhattan friends. But I got to thinking... Who needs Fox anyway when we have Daily Kos to promote worthwhile candidates?
Please watch the ad and consider recommending this diary as way to offer him better visibility... some National visibility. And kick Fox's ass while we are at it!
We need clear, confident and progressive candidates like Brain Ellner to run for offices at all levels of government. Your recommendation can bring national exposure to his candidacy, and transform a despicable censoring of free speech rights
into a winning progressive campaign.
Let's wrangle up somemore support for him!
Check out Brian Ellner
P.S. Did I mention he's cute as a button.
