This diary is a repeat of
a diary from yesterday, on an issue that can't be lost to the weekend.
The special investigator hired in response to Democratic pressure found Republican Duke Cunningham was able to insert corrupt spending requests into classified appropriations bills in exchange for bribes.
The system of check and balances does not exist. A Republican Congressman grabbed our checkbook and wrote some checks to his cronies. And the Republican Congressional leadership nodded and winked.
And the Freepers, those disgustiing sloths, still call Cunningham a "hero."
By the way, Bush is trying to keep the investigator from interviewing Cunningham in prison.
