Talk about loosing, he has certainly lost it. How many parallel universes is he trying to cover? Manifesting the worst kind of pseudo-democracy and still somehow seemingly able to have himself believe any of his homemade twists. The man of principle digs deep into old school politics of sorry smearing and lame blaming, and then bends over the very moment he gets told he ain't smelling that nice no more. How did he loose it that bad? He was OK, wasn't he? Is it the psychology, stupid? Seriously wondering if his being picked as the VP candidate, for being principled then, boosted a starving ego which has still to recover? Really, how do you get that double-tongued? How does one entertain all these different voices and pacify them enough to even sleep at night? Flip-flopping is one thing, but this is spinophobia of a different magnitude altogether.
People, I am a true Democrat, look at my record, like I walked in that march decades ago. So you don't get it? Hey, I am not a Democrat, that will get you to vote for me. And that's my principle.
Funny how my topic for a prospected book - madmen in power, and how to deal with that - came up a few years ago and then these rolemodels got put into place, in the western world, for that matter....!
OK, so I am wondering about all this from the plains - that's geography and politics - of NW Europe, and then it's relatively easy to talk about parallel universes between us, because on some level, those are real. But I also really really feel for you guys, as Americans, having to actually deal with this kind of craziness. Like sure, there isn't much of a choice right now, and I know I'd be fighting with you if in your shoes, and sure, there will be growth from this, it is history unfolding. But I guess there are other things one could imagine doing instead quite happily. Do try to get down to those every now and then. You deserve it so. I lived under a madman for years - my father, a pediatrician ; I know.
