Pentagon forbids troops to buy better body armor, BushCo is risking the lives of US soldiers by forbiding them to wear superior body armor which they purchased privately. This is so morally bankrupt that only the most blinded Rethuglican could fail to be outraged.
Problem is, mainstream America is not being told this story. The "old" media is not mentioning the story - a Google News Search for "body armor dragon" turned up only 9 stories and none seem to mention the forbidding of Pinnacle Dragon Armor.
You can easily make this story "newsworthy" - see below the fold.
Writing a letter to the editor is quite easy these days - you can use email; heck you can cut & paste the email. I just sent the following:
Dear Editor:
This is the most outrageous action yet by the Bush Administration: Soldiers, who are currently staging for combat operations in Iraq, reported their commander told them if they were wearing Pinnacle Dragon Skin [body armor] and were killed their beneficiaries might not receive the death benefits from their $400,000 SGLI life insurance policies. The soldiers were ordered to leave their privately purchased body armor at home or face the possibility of both losing their life insurance benefit and facing disciplinary action.
Apparently our soldiers are only allowed to wear the inadequate body armor from Interceptor - which is said to be "inherently brittle and fractures when dropped or slammed into solid objects such as the ground."

All you gotta do is write some letters. If some 'editor' gets enough of these, they just might decide to make the story their own.
You can find the web sites of National and Local Media here.
Feel free to cut & paste my letter; feel free to do a better job than I did. Just do it - it won't take more than 15 minutes to crank out a half dozen letters.
