A proposal for a symbol to use in the last weeks of the campaign. Something Rovian.
Let's learn from Karl Rove. Last minute deciding voters are influenced by sloganeering and need to be reminded of the Republican's failings. Let's start calling the Republicans "Ostriches". Let's make signs and bring them to rallies - similar to "flip flops" in 2004.
We need a potent symbol of the Republicans sticking their heads in the sand and ignoring the situation in Iraq, as well as at home with Katrina, health care, warnings about Foley, etc. The fact that they just "cut and ran" on "stay the course" demonstrates that they're more concerned with what slogans they use than with changing their strategy with changing circumstances.
Let's throw it in their face.
