This diary is a follow up concerning several different links that all should be read in order to determine the full extent of the story.
There is an story over at The Huffington Post by a guy named Martin Garbus stating that two democrat Senators from New Jersey are guilty of quid pro quo involving Judges.
The link is http://www.huffingtonpost.com/... and the title is "Proof That Bush's Removal of the Abramoff Prosecutor was a Political Deal to Scuttle the Investigation"
more below the split...
I read the post and went to a previous story by Garbus on the same subject which can be found here
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...
the title of the story is "Bush's Blatant Attempt to Obstruct and End the Abramoff Investigation"
Both stories are worth your time.
Being somewhat curious I clicked on a link to Senator Lautenberg's web site ( http://www.lautenberg.senate.gov/ )in an attempt to ascertain facts. The menu on the right side of the page looked like this:
Lautenberg Warns Bush Health Care Tax Scheme Will Only Bring More "Complications" - Not Solutions
Senator Lautenberg Delivers Remarks from the Senate Floor Honoring the life of the Late Coretta Scott King
Statement by Senator Lautenberg on the Nomination of Samuel A. Alito to the Supreme Court
President Nominates Federal Judges for New Jersey
When I clicked on "President Nominates Federal Judges for New Jersey" this pops up,

I think we may have a problem with Lautenberg and Corzine.
Between the two diaries there are a goodly number of comments that are thought provoking to say the least. If you can take the time to read one more story about such matters there is an excellent article at the San Francisco Chronicle which can be found here,
http://sfgate.com/...
It's a terrific article about buying the media, the judges, the police, etc. and it might give you a better idea of what might be going on in America today.
If the stories about the two democrats are true, someone should be trying to discover why. If the case is being tampered with and/or there is obstruction of justice it would appear it may extend all the way up to the White House.
Jack Abramoff has already pled guilty so I see it as being an attempt to stop the investigation at an acceptable level and later before Bush leaves office he can pardon Abramoff, Scanlon, Libby, etc.
This whole story needs a lot more research.
