Station Flushes Rush as ratings fall was the headline. WBAL-AM in Baltimore cited falling ratings as the reason for the cancellation.

Rush Limbaugh one of the most popular and polarizing radio personalities of recent years, has been sacked in Baltimore.
The article further states that after a decade in Baltimore his show will be canceled after May 31st.
"In this market at this time, we just think we can perform better without him," said Jeff Beauchamp, station manager and vice president at WBAL Radio.
The article further speculates that Rush has been a victim of his own success and spawned copycat radio personalities which means he is no longer a voice in the wilderness. This is his First cancellation.
I would like to speculate that this hopefully is a first in a series of cancellations as people get tired of listening to the same old saber rattling, half truths, and plain divisiveness that is dished out on a daily basis on his show.
Get ready Rush. This is the first warning shot across the bow. Even some of your listeners are wiping the sleep from their eyes and are starting to realize they have been sold a bill of goods. What will you do when it eventually comes crashing down around your ears (carnival barker)?
