I have a rainy weekend ahead of me and I'd like to curl up with a good book. I'd like it to be perhaps political - past or present, or historical or a classic - even a really good graphic novel would do.
There are tons of super smart people here and I know you've read some great books. Which books shaped your view of politics? What book gave you the best insights on our county's history or our world history? What is a great book for understanding the Middle East and/or our policy towards it?
What books do you think are indispensible - must reads? What books should all Kossacks have read? What is Kos's 5 most recommended reads of all times - with Crashing the Gate as a given? Modern, classic - I'd like to know what books have shaped the people at Daily Kos. thanks in advance
