I was looking at a New York Times article here [
http://www.nytimes.com/... New York Times and it got me to thinking. How could these guys really be so lame as to think that a $100 rebate plan would fly with the American public?
Would the voting public be willing to sell their vote off for that paltry sum? Then I got to thinking about all those votes Abramoff and his ilk bought for campaign contributions amounting to less than $10,000. If you figure each Congressperson represents upwards of 500,000 people that would translate to about two cents for every person represented by that $10,000 donation. Therefore, given re-thug logic, they were being pretty extravegant here.
These people sure are pretty amazing in the brazenness of their corruption.
The good news is that it is even causing problems within the Republican ranks.
