I was just watching Lou Dobbs, who seemed visibly amused by Steven Colbert's performance on Saturday night, and who asked his guests to comment on the event.
After watching radio host Stephanie Miller do the Birthday Dance to congratulate Colbert on his performance, Lou moved on to radio host Martha Zoller, who he asked about the media's reaction to Colbert compared to the the media's reaction to Imus'roast of Clinton.
She replied, "There is a liberal bias in the media, and he is picking on George Bush, who the media doesn't like versus Imus, who was picking on Clinton, who the media loved. OK?"
"And so you really see a little bit of a bias."
"What came to mind after seeing the Flight 93, United 93 this weekend, was that 9/11 was a Tuesday. So that was innaprop..... And he probably didn't even think about that, but for me, having lost friends in the World Trade Towers, that was the first thing I thought about."
Now maybe I'm missing something, but the dinner wasn't on a Tuesday, or in September, or on the 11th day of the month, soooooooo........I'm just not getting it.
Did I miss something, or is this just another pathetic attempt of a kool-aid drinking radio host to try to use 9/11 to distract the short attention-span theatre lovers?
