Some Tennessee GOP think that rape victims are liars and should be polygraphed.
Last month, the Tennessee Senate bill 2971 passed, by a margin of 27-1. It would
require law enforcement officials to polygraph rape victims to determine the "truthiness" of their claims. The House voted 77-10 to approve a bill
prohibiting law enforcement officials from requiring an alleged rape victim to take a lie detector test in order to proceed with an investigation.
Fortunately, even in Frist country, not all Republicans are this mysoginistic or stupid.
The House voted down the bill (77-10) that would require law enforcement to polygraph rape victims to prove they
are not lying about being raped. Under the bill the Senate passed last month, ff a rape victim refuses to take a polygraph, the police would refuse to proceed with the case. According to the House bill, if an officer still requires or requests a victim to take a polygraph to prove they are telling the truth, it's only a
Class C fine only misdeameanor which mean a possible jail sentence of up to 30 days and a 50 fine. That's the same fine you get for
having your car stereo too loud.

Voting against the bill, was Rep. Glen Casada, R-Franklin
because the would be no way to tell that the victim was telling the truth about the rape to the police.
Tennessee politics: it's never boring. I just hope the sane one win this fight. It's bad enough being raped, but to be raped and treated like a criminal is worse.
