I just had to diary this story from raw story, especially since it's fallen away from their main page. It's not even October and
Abu Gonzalez wants his terror, dammit!
"The most dramatic change," said Gonzales, "is the nature of the enemy our country today faces -- a stateless enemy sometimes hidden and nurtured here in our neighborhoods, taking advantage of the very laws they mock with their killing and destruction, as a shield from detection and prosecution."
(This actually spewed from his mouth at the World Affairs Council in Pittsburgh.)
"Gonzales, further emphasizing the perceived domestic danger, stated, "The threat of homegrown terrorist cells may be as dangerous as groups like al Qaeda, if not more so."
(Like who would these people be? Probably Lamont voters. Nobody hates democracy more than the people who practice it.)
"Prevention is the goal of all goals when it comes to terrorism because we simply cannot and will not wait for these particular crimes to occur before taking action. Investigating and prosecuting terrorists after they have killed our countrymen would be an unworthy goal. (that's why OBL is still free!) Preventing terrorism is a meaningful and daily triumph."
(Brown shirts required, please leave liberties at the door when entering. Read the whole speech. Then catch the comments, they're a hoot.)
