I am dreadfully tired of the various phases of government and elections I've seen in my 24 years as a voter. Pick this party or that. Pick this talking head or that. Suspense and dread as the policy makers, henchmen, cronies and donators all line up for high powered positions of influence.
I'm sick of Republicans and Democrats alike keeping the cards close to the table until they have manipulated minds into the appropriate checkbox on the ballot.
I'm ready for a real election. I'm ready to Elect A Government.

Think about it. What could be more powerful than a complete cabinet picked at convention and nomination time to oppose a party in power?
What could be more positive than a team that works together through the election and is ready to hit the ground running (which will sorely be needed given the economy and the international scene)?
What could be more unifying for a party than to pick a Cabinet ahead of time - based upon qualifications instead of the 'ability to deliver' (cash or boots)?
What could be more revolutionary than a 2008 ticket that told everyone just how organized, how prepared, how substantial and how *ready* a candidate was to be President?
That's why in 2008 I urge the Democratic Party to approach the ticket differently. I urge the Democratic Party to run not just a candidate, but run a government for office.
2008 Candidate for President : Al Gore
VP : Russ Feingold
Secretary of Defense : General Wesley Clark
Secretary of Health and Human Services : John Edwards
Secretary of State : Clinton (either one or heck we could use both!)
Secretary of Peace : Dennis Kucinich (it's about time)
Attorney General : Eliot Spitzer
Special Prosecutor for War Crimes : Pat Fitzgerald
Secretary of Veteran Affairs : Sen John McCain (we gotta be bipartisan) Sen Patty Smith
Secretary of the Interior : Gov Bill Richardson
Secretary of Energy : Howard Dean (ok not really but you know what I mean)
What do you think? Wouldn't it be great to know who we are getting ahead of time for a change?
