The incredible part of the piece is that some of the laws being used against Iraqi journalists were taken directly from Saddam's anti-journalist legislation.
You knew we were creating a monster. Not only do we have a sectarian blow-up, but now the Iraqi government, that purple-fingered beacon of neocon fantasy-land, is targeting journalists who are critical of government figures.
According to the Times, some of these restrictions are taken verbatim from Saddam Hussein's playbook.
This is the "democracy" that 2700 men and women died fighting for.
