Disney is definitely the weakest link in "The Path" and so it makes sense to incriminate them as much as possible. They're supposed to be good guys, innocents, making beatiful stories fit for all ages. In short they produce
fiction
(more below the fold)
Disney's stories are fictional, based on mythology. In fact, they are
experts in mythology. "The Path" probably appealed to their desire to mythologize true stories. They've done it before:
Powhatan Nation:
In 1995, Roy Disney decided to release an animated movie about a Powhatan woman known as "Pocahontas". In answer to a complaint by the Powhatan Nation, [Roy Disney] claims the film is "responsible, accurate, and respectful." We of the Powhatan Nation disagree. The film distorts history beyond recognition. Our offers to assist Disney with cultural and historical accuracy were rejected. Our efforts urging him to reconsider his misguided mission were spurred.
This time, however, Disney's romanticization of real events -- which they are experts at -- pulls them into political theatre. They are now poised to be the superstars of recreating politics for fun and profit. Here's a logo for their new department.
