Here in Orlando Florida I arrived a few minutes late, not expecting many people at all. Parked my van and started looking around for the protesters. There was one homeless guy on a bench, a couple of photographers with male models and me.
Figuring I must be early I asked the guy on the bench if he was here for Enough. The look he gave me told me he wasn`t. The models were too busy posing to be there for anything else. So I had two choices I could just go home, or do what I came here for. Choice number one wasn`t it.
Got my cardboard sign with black 6 inch lettering and stood next to the road holding it up high. Most of the people in their cars just stared at me, some honked. After a while some bicycle riders stopped and asked about the sign."ENOUGH what?" What could I say but "everything".
A couple of Black guys walking by said "That says it All". A tourist from England was overcome with curiosity and had to come ask what I was protesting all alone. I told her there were supposed to be more protesters with me, that this is going to be a nationwide movement soon. She said" Movements have to start somewhere, keep it up. We`ve finally gotten rid of Blair so there is hope."
One guy asked if I was the lone protester, I said yes but I have an extra sign if you`d care to join me. He politely turned down my offer and left.
About thirty people that I saw gave me a thumbs up, no one flipped me off, I didn`t get harrassed by the police although they did look at me oddly.
All in all it was a good experience and I`ll be there again next Sunday, with my extra sign just in case.
