I'm sick of a few things:
-The war in Iraq
-The billions intentionally wasted there
-The uninvestigated crimes of George W. Bush
-The uninvestigated crimes of his friends and cohorts
-The fear and failure of the Democrats in Congress
These issues seem to make everything else take a backseat. Universal health care. Renewable energy. Poverty. Jobs. The federal deficit.
While fellow Americans are in the line of fire in the desert under orders of war of choice by an administration of lies and partisan manipulation, billions wasted every week being laundered into corporations ripping off the taxpayers, nothing else has a higher priority than getting out of Iraq and commissioning hearings to investigate the crimes of our president.
Congress has the power of the purse, but they fail to exercise it. So what can we do? How about exercising the power of our purse.
Howard Dean, this message is for you!
I will not give a single cent of my money to any Democrat running for any office until we get out of Iraq and start investigating the [alleged] crimes of Bush [and Cheney].
This is the power of OUR purse. Since Congress fails to listen to our words, will they listen to our dollars?
Instead of considering a purchase of some Democracy Bonds, I'm not giving you one more dollar Howard! Not one more dollar for any candidate that isn't willing to speak out against this war and this administration's crimes.
Checks and Balances exist for a reason. Where is Congress?
Our troops are dying with casualties going UP every year we stay. Where is Congress?
Too busy voting to approve warrantless wiretapping via FISA! Outrageous!
If they won't listen to me, they don't need my money either. Not one more dollar!
