Bush was at 44% approval/ 54% disapproval 2 days ago in the (much maligned) Rasmussen tracking poll. His support has undergone the fastest drop ever recorded (for him) to todays reading of 35%/63% A/D.

That's a net shift of 19 points in the A/D difference in 2 days.
Looks like we have finally found out what it takes to truly puncture Smirky's standing among the American Booboisie (sorry, folks, my countrymen will remain that to me until they prove otherwise - in 2008, I hope).
I always thought Bush could get away with eating a baby on live TV and the Cokies and Tweetys and Wolfies would just ooh and ahh about how daringly he brings back the venerable custom of cannibalism.
But his speech was apparently too much for Americans.
We may not like Rasmussen, but it's the only tracking poll out there, and this datum is therefore unique to them.
I realize that this is a bit thin for a modern Kos diary, but I also realize that its great to have a forum to discuss Bush as he free-falls past the 3rd floor of a 101 floor skyscraper.............
I feel like saying "Zeitgeist Shift" again!
