This just off MSNBC (cuz I reward good behavior and don't watch the other 24 hr news stations)
They just "teased" a piece about the possiblity of a ban on smoking in cars when children are present.
"smacks of Big Brother..."
Ok - really? Smacks of big brother?
The US Government is:
- Listening to our phone calls
- Tracking where we travel to and from
- Tracking what we check out of the library
- Tracking what we buy with credit cards
- Opening our mail
- Funding "fake news" that is parrotted by Fake news outlets everywhere
- Detaining people without charges, representation by attorney, and unable to see family and friends.
- Flooding the air with phony talking points that skew the national narrative on just about everything.
and THIS is what MSNBC picks to deem "smacking" of "big brother?"
WTH?
I am not a smoker. I don't think it is good for children to be exposed to second-hand smoke, because unlike adults, children usually cannot demand that the smoker refrain from polluting the air in a car.
But let's get some perspective here.....I listened intently to the military commissions discussions, and all the stuff around the NSA programs. I NEVER ONCE heard anyone invoke "big brother" with respect to those issues.
This is just silly. It's terrible journalism, and I am disappointed in MSNBC.
