It may be very satisfying to throw stones at Limbaugh, but in Iran, college students are putting their lives and their futures on the line, protesting against their government.

Americans need to become much more attuned to the complexity of the Iranian situation, what the US government is plotting, what HR 1400 would do to f**k up the situation for Iranians who want to determine their own fate.
Not an essay, just a list of some of the complexities of Iran, link by link, or, if you will, dot connected to dot. This catalog has several goals: 1. To offer a quick overview of online resources to educate yourself on Iran; 2. To stimulate discussion; 3. To overcome the problems the Congress encountered in 2003, when they simply had no good information to work with to understand the situation in Iraq before they voted to give the Decider carte blanche to destroy that country.
- What Iranians think: How many would be surprised to know that many Iranians hate their Islamicized society and mullah government almost as much as Rick Santorum does. See, especially, the range of comments to "Give Diplomacy A Chance:"

- The US Congress thinks that economic strangulation is not warfare. Watch Ed Royce, R-CA, salivate as he anticipates Iran's economic demise and resultant rioting in the streets: http://www.c-span.org/...
- Consider how economic warfare has worked out in the past and get a glimpse of the ideological background for a policy of destroying a peoples' economy for the benefit of insider capitalists. Naomi Klein does a pretty good job of exposing Milton Friedman in "Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism." Klein discussed her book with fascist tool[sorry about that; I'm an entertainer, not a journalist so it's okay for me to state opinions!] Franklin Foer here:

- Trita Parsi is an Iranian-born citizen of Sweden who just earned his doctorate guided by Francis Fukuyama, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and others at Johns Hopkins and produced a book about the tangled relationship among Iran, Israel, and the US, titled, "Treacherous Alliance: The Secret Dealings of Iran, Israel, and the United States." His view offers a balanced view of how Iran and the entire Middle East situation might be dealt with in a rational and positive manner:
