When will Democratic candidates learn: People (especially progressives) do not want to be told how to vote by celebrities. They don't even want to be told to consider a candidate by a celebrity. And they especially don't want to be told anything by a celebrity who is better known and more beloved than the candidate they're endorsing. Can anyone remember Bruce Springstreen supporting John Kerry?
I've been in this business a long time. Every time a Democrat brings in Robert Redford, or Bruce Springsteen, or Barbra Streisand, or Oprah Winfrey, they take a hit in the polls. Use them to raise money, but please please please keep them off the stage.
