POSTPONED TO THURSDAY. see below
Perusing C-SPAN looking for THURSDAY'S episode of “Patrick Leahy vs. Alberto Gonzales ‘Celebrity Deathmatch’”,
I saw it is to be broadcast on C-SPAN 3, rather than the more accessible/cable teevee friendly C-SPAN.
I felt a polite request was in order from a long-time viewer, first-time caller:
Dear C-SPAN,
I am writing to request that tomorrow’s United States Senate Committee
Department of Justice Oversight
Hearing,
ID: 197503 - 04/17/2007, at which Attorney General Gonzales will testify, be offered on C-SPAN’s main cable television channel, rather than on C-SPAN 3.
Many cable-tv providers do not support broadcast of C-SPAN 3, and I believe that greater public access to this US Senate hearing is warranted, given its significance to our democracy.
Thank you for continuing to maintain the public’s accessibility to our government.
Sincerely,
Hey - it doesn't hurt to ask....

C-SPAN was founded to provide gavel-to-gavel coverage of the
House (C-SPAN) and Senate (C-SPAN2). When the House and Senate are in
session
we cannot provide a schedule until they adjourn. This time is unknown
and can also be late in the evening. Ask your cable provider about
C-SPAN3,
a digital service, that carries live events when the House and Senate
are in session.
We only schedule several hours ahead of time.
Each day we decide in the late afternoon what events we will cover
the following day. Until the events are complete, we do not know how
long they are and how they will air in our schedule.
Once the schedule is complete around 9:00 PM weeknights, if the House
Senate have adjourned, the schedule is posted on on our web site,
http://www.c-span.org/
