Just a quick diary, I didn't see this posted yet, but I'll delete if it's a duplicate.
Josh Wolf, the San Francisco based blogger who has been in federal prison for the last seven and a half months is coming out of prison today. Wolf defied prosecutor's demands that he turn over his raw footage of an anti-G8 protest and was jailed for contempt of the grand jury.

Imprisoned freelance journalist released
According to the article from the San Francisco Gate, Wolf has agreed to turn over his full video recordings as long as he is not summoned by the grand jury or asked to testify as to the identities of any of the protesters.
Wolf posted the uncut video on his Web site, gave prosecutors a copy and denied under oath that he knew anything about violent incidents at the July 2005 protest. In return, his lawyers said, prosecutors agreed not to summon him before the grand jury or ask him to identify any of the protesters shown on his video.
It appears to be a middle ground that both sides can live with.
I could be wrong, but I believe that Wolf has been in prison past the past the length of the grand jury term.
The AP is now reporting the story as well: Journalist jailed for record time freed
update: The prosecutors argued that Wolf had captured footage of a policeman being hit by a rock. Wolf argued that he hadn't. Which was part of the impasse between the two sides.
