This so-called Republican hate-fest in California the other night should really not be a revelation to most Americans. Each and every question was loaded by Mr. Matthews to showcase his expertise in being a GOP sycophant. At least he stayed away from some his real hardball questions, such as asking each candidate which type of tree they would like to be or which superhero represents their patriotic nature? And look at those impartial questions he asked--especially the ones about Big Bill and evolution.
One should not focus on any individual candidate, but how this motley crew represents the GOP view of America. What type of country do they want this United States to be? Of course, one should have the freedom not to hire someone who is morally reprehensible. It is definitely okay to reject a gay job candidate who has a private, but possibly committed relationship, in favor of someone who cheats on his wife and is a suspected child abuser. As for racial discrimination, the GOP abhores the concept unless one is gay.
Except for my former mayor who has shown America how to have seven different opinions at once, the GOP nirvana will be the abolition of Roe v. Wade. This will be morning in America and allow us greater personal freedom and liberty. That's right folks, every zygote and fetus will now have complete civil rights. Too bad this potential, but premature GOP voter will not partake of all the opportunities this land has to offer after his or her mother dies of some type of pregnancy-related complication during the fifth month of gestation. And we Americans must be free from the possibility of human-animal cloning. Yes, Mitt, that is such an insightful reason to be against stem cell research. As for science, who would be so foolish as to believe in such a thing as evolution or stem cell research. Why, these secular humanist theories, are so harmful to our way of life. To these GOP candidates, we must return to that golden age--the Middle Ages. After all, during that wonderful time, the Bible always trumped reason.
