In response to the lag of the GOP in Internet fundraising compared to Democrats, ABC PAC launched RightRoots.com, the one-stop donation pail for conservatives.
The site allows donors to designate a particular national candidate their funds should be directed to. Besides emptying his wallet, the Internet savvy conservative can check up on key challenges in various slates, take a poll [freep it now -- make the Iraq War the #1 issue ahead of Immigration!], and bask in a selected bio of a featured Republican, such as Jeb Hensarling, TX-5. Oops, nothing but a picture. Does that make him a Nobody?
ABC PAC was created by Frank Donatelli, Craig Shirley, Michael Turk, Chuck DeFeo, Jason Torchinsky and Michael Palmer. They currently serve on the PAC's Board of Directors. RightRoots About
Oddly enough, I don't think the founders are the ones pictured at the bottom of the link. Three Asians, and (I'm guessing here) a Middle Easterner or Indian, and one Token White Guy just don't look representative of the Republicans I know, excepting the "Token," of course.
[Reading the small print regarding online donations, one learns that about 5% of it goes to fees and costs. Is that true of all online political donations, just some?]
Anyway, click here to view the RightRoots' opinions of:
Key House Challenges
Key Senate Challenges There's only 5, and 3 apparently are hiding (no pic).
Anti-Pork Honor Roll --
Honoring House Republicans with a perfect 100% voting record against pork barrel earmarks in the 110th Congress, as recently scored by the Club for Growth.
The Anti-Immigration 7
And the special page of appeal on behalf of the Republicans running for president.
Since the site debuted yesterday, it's pretty slim on content. But I did notice one thing. All the pictures of the candidates and incumbents, hopefuls and heroes look like the minority member of the representative Republican photo I mentioned earlier.
Yep, they all look like the Token White Guy.
