If you ain't got no money take yo'broke ass home
We flyin' first class
Up in the sky
Poppin' champagne
Livin' my life
In the fast lane
And I wont change
By the Glamorous, oh the flossy flossy

I love Kos. I really do. I love his kids and his wife and most of all his spirit. Kos is more than "da man"...he's da' new institution. He's DA BLOGGER.
But Kos is wrong. Kos is dead wrong. You shouldn't need to be rich to win in politics. And you don't have to be. The Democrats lost in 2004 even though we virtually outspent the Republicans, especially in the 527 space. Sure, Dems can compete for corporate dollars. But that doesn't mean they win. And it sure as heck doesn't mean WE WIN if they do.
I don't really care why Edwards took public funds. I don't really even care if it means he doesn't raise money well. And what's more likely, is that nobody in Iowa really cares either.
Politics should be about what politicans are going to do for us. WE THE PEOPLE. Remember, kos...us..we we're supposed to be crashing the gates together. Now you're poppin champagne.. living the life in the fast lane.
Well, most people still live their lives in the slow lane. Or at least the lane that means saving for kids college, working like hell without many benefits, and surviving, if you're lucky, because you have health insurance.
Edwards Kossacks and for those on the fence. This thing aint over. This thing aint over by a long shot. As many have suggested: Do everything you can do for Johnny. Make homemade signs, travel to events, help out, or write op eds in your local paper. Hit the pavement in Iowa and New Hamsphire and do build this thing like it should be done: from the grassroots.
Tomorrow begins TODAY!

This is a good article written by Peter Dreier

I'll take the pieces LaEscapee took:
When he visited the United States in the 1830s to write the now-classic Democracy in America, Frenchman Alexis deToqueville viewed the many voluntary self-help organizations among ordinary citizens as the genius of our pluralistic democracy.
Edwards is the first presidential candidate since Robert Kennedy who understands that grassroots organizing -- from the Boston Tea Party to the civil rights movement -- is a central part of American tradition.
Edwards wants to help build on the upsurge of civic activism that has taken place across the country over the past decade, often below the media radar screen. He seems inspired by the people he's met in his work with grassroots groups. He wants to apply those lessons as President. He wants to be America's organizer-in-chief

Although Hillary wrote her senior thesis at Wellesley about organizing guru Saul Alinsky, and Obama spent several years as a community organizer in Chicago, it seems that only Edwards has absorbed the cardinal rule of organizing: it requires organized people to beat organized money
